Cartier Tank Black Dial - Mechanical
Cartier is one of my favourite brands. More design than horological ingenuity, but what a fu*king design!
Inspired by the top-down view of WW1 tanks (initially called 'Landships' but 'Tank' was used to throw-off internal spies). Louis Cartier set out on combining his love of Bauhaus with the armoured vehicle to create this delicate dress watch.
Worn and adored by countless icons such as Andy Warhol, Cary Grant, Alain Delon and Fred Astaire. This timeless piece is in its ascendancy with a new generation once more.
